Penn State’s Mobile Lions presented ShopSafe; a Windows 7 application that allows users to set up a list of food products they can't consume due to an allergy, disease, or even lifestyle. The application uses the phone's camera to scan the bar-code of a food item. It then cross references the list created by the user and informs them whether the food product scanned passes or fails. ShopSafe was presented to Governor Corbett and Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer in Malvern, Pa for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
